Wonzo is an app that helps foreign workers working in Korea calculate wages, severance pay, and national pension lump sum returns, record work, and compare remittance exchange rates. We only collect minimal information.
The most important point: location and complaint contents (name, number, address) are stored only on the user's mobile phone and not on our server. Attendance records (working hours and notes) are saved on the mobile phone, and only when the user logs in and agrees to cloud backup. They are backed up to the Firebase server in preparation for phone replacement or reinstallation. Commuting photos are saved only by default. However, if the user selects the backup location in the settings, commuting photos will be backed up from then on — This is to ensure that evidence of unpaid wages remains even if the phone is lost. There are two places to choose from: · Wonzo Server — Stored in Firebase (Seoul) and can only be opened with your own account. · User's Google Drive — Photos are stored in User's Google Account and are not sent to Wonzo servers. At this time, the permission requested by the app is Minimum to only handle files created by the app. There is only one permission (drive.file). The app can't see your other Drive files. This feature is turned off by default, requires separate consent when turned on, and when turned off, uploaded photos are deleted (the drive sends the folder to the trash). No matter which option you choose, GPS location and complaint content will not be uploaded. (Other exceptions: If you directly register a group representative photo, one photo will be stored on the server for group display purposes — see the table in Section 1.) ⚠️ However, if you press the location record button directly, the GPS coordinates at that time will be sent once to the map service (OpenStreetMap) to be converted into an address. We don't store it on our servers, but it goes out at that moment. If you don't want to, you can disable the location history feature.

Information we do not collect: Contact information (address book), call records, account numbers. The name, phone number, and alien registration number you write in the petition are stored only on your mobile phone and are not sent to the server.
2. Anonymous Community
- You can read without an account (the app automatically creates an anonymous ID). An account is required to write posts and comments — You only need to set a nickname and password, and no email or phone number will be accepted. You can also use Google login.
- Your posts and comments will be public to other users.
- We do not verify the content written by users.
- You can delete your posts and comments at any time. Posts with accumulated reports are automatically hidden.
- Do not use someone else's or your own real name, phone number, or address.
- If you forget your nickname and password, you will not be able to delete your previous posts. Since you do not receive emails, there is no way to remind you of your password. If you have forgotten, please let us know through the contact information below.
3. Provided by third parties
- Google Firebase(Firestore·Cloud Storage) — Community post·If you agreeCloud backup·If you select “Wonzo Server” for photo backupSave commute photos. Server location: South Korea (Seoul).
- Google Firebase Authentication (account login) — Nickname or Google email. According to Google policy, this service is processed in US data center (international transfer). Transfer recipient: Google LLC · Purpose of transfer: Login · Account management · Retention period: Until account deletion.
- Google Crashlytics — Device model·OS·crash logs are processed (international transfers) in Google Global Infrastructure. Transfer recipient: Google LLC · Purpose of transfer: Correction of app errors · Retention period: According to Google policy. It does not contain any personally identifiable information.
- Google Drive — Only if you select 「Google Drive」 for photo backup, your commute photos will be saved in your Google Drive「Wonzo」folder. It is not transmitted to the Wonzo server. The app only requests the minimum permissions (
drive.file) to handle only the files created by the app and cannot view the user's other files. If you do not use this feature, drive permission will not be requested at all.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — Stores device notification token to send notifications when comments are made on my posts. The notification does not include the content of the post, but only the nickname of the person who notified is displayed. You can turn it off in Settings → Notifications.
- Google AdMob — Display ads. The advertising SDK collects and shares not only the advertising identifier but also IP address, app usage behavior, diagnostic information, and device identifier (based on Google guidance). Do not use other advertising networks (brokerage SDK).
- OpenStreetMap(Nominatim) — When you press the Record Location button, GPS coordinates are sent for address conversion. We do not store coordinates on our servers.
- open.er-api.com / GitHub — Exchange rate inquiry. We do not send personal information.
- Affiliate services (Trip.com, Airalo (via Link Price), Toss Shopping, etc.) — When you open a link or widget on the benefits screen, the relevant business's page is connected and access information such as IP address may be transmitted to that company. We do not send any personal information stored by the app.
- Google Translate — In order to translate community posts/comments into your language, the content of the post is sent to Google Translate. Automatic translation is turned on by default and can be turned off with the Translate button above the community list.
- Google Fonts — Three fonts for shared cards are retrieved from Google servers. At this time, connection information such as IP address may be transmitted to Google. Only font files are exchanged and no personal information stored by the app is sent.
- Google (Firebase Installations · Remote Config · Sessions) — Retrieves app settings and records basic usage statistics. Content entered by users is not included.
We do not sell your information.
4. App permissions
- Camera·Photo — Used only when attaching a photo of commuting to and from work, or directly pressing Scan Paystub. The statement photo is saved only in mobile phone characters after readingmobile phone.
- Location — Only used when pressing the location recording button directly.
- Internet — Exchange rate, community, advertising.
- Notification — Used for commute, holiday, and deadline notifications (for Android 13 or higher, the system asks for permission). Even if you reject it, the remaining functions are normal.
Even if permission is denied, the remaining functions can be used normally.
5. How to delete · Account deletion
- Data on the device (commuting, photos, pay stub photos, petition): All data will disappear if you delete it from the app or uninstall the app. Pay stub photos will be deleted when you clear your receipt history.
- Backed up commute photos: If you change to “Never” in Settings → Backup, uploaded photos will be deleted (if you selected Google Drive, the “Wonzo” folder will be sent to the trash). Photos uploaded to Wonzo servers will be deleted even if you delete your account.
- Community post: Click “Delete” on your post.
How to delete your account from the app
Run the app → Home (Community) tab → Top "Delete account" → Confirm.
Your account and all your posts/comments will be deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.
How to request account deletion on the web
If you have already deleted the app or forgotten your password,

Please send it with the subject "Request for account deletion" and your name nickname. It will be processed within 30 days.
- Things that are deleted immediately: Account (nickname/encrypted password), all posts and comments written by the user, cloud backup (work records), commute photos backed up to Wonzo server, customer service inquiries, my information in the group (if the group leader, the group itself). ※ Photos backed up to Google Drive are not deleted by deleting the account because they are in the user's Google account — you can change the backup to “Never” in the app or delete them directly from the drive.
- What can be left: Traces of likes and reports left on other people’s posts.
Your nickname may remain in the traces of post likes, but if you delete your account, the app will attempt to delete any likes that it knows. The report trace only has random identifier, no nickname or content, and once the account is deleted, that identifier will not be linked to anyone.
If you would like us to erase these traces, please email us your request.
- We will notify you if there is anything that could not be deleted. If some remains due to internet conditions, etc., the app will show that fact on the screen.
If you request it by email, we will delete it ourselves. Don't pass it by without knowing.
- The data on your device only lives on your phone and we can't see it or erase it remotely. Please uninstall the app.
6. Children
This app is intended for workers over 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we make any significant changes, we will notify you within the app and update the effective date at the top of this page.

Terms of Use
1. This app is a reference tool
The information and calculation results provided by Wonzo are for reference only and are not legal advice, financial advice or investment advice. The actual amount received may differ from the calculation by government offices or companies. For important matters, please call 1350 (interpretation support) or 1355 (national pension).
2. Petition (PDF)
The app only creates files using the information entered by the user. We do not submit on your behalf nor do we provide legal representation. The user is responsible for the content provided.
3. Attendance record
This is a personal record created by the user. Can be used as reference evidence, but is not a publicly certified document.
4. Community Rules
When using the community, you agree not to do the following:
- Enter the real name of the company, business owner, or other person (you may be sued for defamation);
- Enter your own or another person's phone number, alien registration number, address, and email;
- Swearing, harassment, discrimination;
- Advertising, brokers, lending, fraud, illegal solicitation;
- Posting pornography, violence, or content that violates the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Violating posts may be hidden or deleted without prior notice, and anonymous accounts may be blocked. Legal responsibility for the post lies with the author.
5. Report harmful content
Click “Report” on the post/comment. As reports accumulate, they are automatically hidden. If you click “Block”, you will not be able to see the user’s posts. If urgent, please notify us by email.
6. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for any damage caused by relying on the app's information or other users' posts. The App is provided “as is.”
